Explore common questions about fit, preparation, timing, investor outreach, and what it looks like to work with Capital Pathfinders.
Most companies need about 60–90 days to prepare for market, depending on their current readiness and the materials required. Once outreach begins, closing capital commonly takes an additional 3–6 months. We work to move the process forward efficiently, but investor diligence and internal approval processes can affect timing.
Our experience spans multiple industries across both capital raising and M&A. Just as important, we focus on identifying and engaging investors whose thesis, check size, and sector interests align with your business and opportunity.
We tailor the scope to what your company needs to prepare for an institutional capital raise, from positioning and materials through investor targeting and outreach. Costs vary based on the business’s readiness, the required deliverables, and the scale of the outreach campaign. Our investor outreach engagements typically begin with a minimum target universe of 100 investors. Companies pursuing raises of $2 million or more should be prepared to invest meaningfully in the process.
Raising capital is challenging, and no firm can guarantee an outcome. Our role is to improve your company’s investability through intense preparation, high-quality materials, and disciplined execution that gives the right investors a clear reason to engage.
We support companies preparing for institutional growth capital rather than seed-stage financing. We hope to support clients as they mature into later rounds, including Series A and beyond.
Depending on your company and capital objective, we may target private equity firms, family offices, venture capital investors, registered investment advisers, and other high-net-worth capital sources.
Capital Pathfinders is not a registered broker-dealer or investment bank. We are consultants who support management teams with readiness, positioning, materials, investor research, outreach coordination, and process management, working on an hourly basis and respecting applicable SEC and regulatory guidelines for our role.
Our primary model is hourly and project-based, so clients pay for the specific work and support they need. Flexible financing options may be available, and in limited situations we may consider converting a portion of fees to equity when it is appropriate for both parties. Equity is generally not our primary form of compensation.
